DVAC launches Strategy 2026–2031

We are excited to share the finalised DVAC Strategy 2026–2031.

As we celebrate 30 years of grassroots service, advocacy, and leadership, this strategy sets out our shared roadmap for the next five years. It reflects who we are, what we stand for, and where we are heading as an organisation. Together, with your support we remain committed to creating freedom, safety, and healing for victim‑survivors of domestic, family, and sexual violence.

The Strategy has been shaped by our collective experience, community partnerships and the voices of the DVAC team and victim‑survivors who we serve. It is grounded in our values and focused on achieving meaningful and lasting change. Thank you all for your feedback and input into the Strategic Plan.

Our four strategic priorities

Over the next five years, our work will be guided by four key focus areas:

Delivering Quality Services

Continuing to provide high‑quality, accessible, and culturally safe services, promoting accountability for those using violence, and centring victim‑survivor safety and choice.

Nurturing Sustainability

Supporting a healthy, sustainable organisation through strong governance, financial stability, and workforce wellbeing.

Building Community

Deepening relationships, addressing systemic issues such as homelessness and child removal, and elevating the voices of victim‑survivors and children.

This Strategy belongs to all of us. Every role across DVAC contributes to bringing these priorities to life, and your work and care make this vision possible. Together, we will continue to create safety, accountability, and lasting change.

Kind regards,
Laura Marschke (Chair, DVAC) and Amie Carrington (CEO, DVAC)
