Consent Video Backstory
This consent video was created in response to the need to have more conversation, more often with young people about consent.
We commenced this project knowing that generally young people do not have the space to talk about consent and we wanted to ensure the voices of young people contributed to this most important the conversation. What we quickly discovered was the conversation needs to go broader and we all need to be part of it. You will find this consent video is a great conversation starter and a valuable tool and we invite you to use it and share it.
This video was made possible thanks the Queensland Government’s Sexual Violence Prevention Grants Program 2020. We would like to thank the young people, parents and staff involved in the creation of this video to ensure the voices of young people do not get lost.
