DVAC Practice Development Workshops
DVAC has been developing online Workshops to assist professionals who support individuals who may be experiencing Domestic Family Violence (DFV). The aim of these Workshops are to provide foundational knowledge regarding DFV and to assist building practical skills to support the safety of clients you are working with.
There are three Workshops in this series and professionals are encouraged to attend whichever sessions that are relevant to you.
Workshop 1 - Understanding and Recognising DFV
Date: Thursday 28 April

Workshop 2 - Introduction to DFV Risk Assessments and Safety Planning

Workshop 3 - Domestic Violence Orders and DFV Court
Date: Thursday 16 June

- Introduction to Protection Orders
- What to expect at DFV Court
- Safety planning around DVOs and Court
- Referrals for legal advice
- Making applications for Grant of Legal Aid
