Christmas 2022 donations: “Thank you”
These holidays, the Domestic Violence Action Centre asked the community to give a gift with meaning by making a donation to DVAC in lieu of Christmas gifts.
Donations and sponsorship provide women escaping violence with necessities such as meals, clothing, tech, medicine and taxi vouchers, or a night of emergency accommodation with essential food and toiletries, or security cameras to a woman and her children experiencing domestic and family violence. Big or small, every donation means so much to people who have fled unsafe homes over the holidays.
Thank you to everyone who kindly donated to DVAC this Christmas.
The Women’s Committee at Toowoomba Golf Club
Wonderful community spirit from the Women’s Committee and the women members of Toowoomba Golf Club, Middle Ridge. It was lovely to meet with the women at their annual Christmas lunch held in November. The Women’s Committee at Toowoomba Golf Club have been avid supporters of DVAC over the past few years and this year they donated some amazing Christmas gifts for families experiencing domestic and family violence.
The donations included pamper gifts for women, Christmas toys for kids with some fun activities and surprises and wonderful gift vouchers. We thank you for all the hard work you do and the joy your gifts will bring to women and children receiving them.
Thanks to all the members of the group for your generosity to DVAC Toowoomba.
