Domestic and Family Violence Remembrance Day - Ipswich
March and Candle Lighting Ceremony
Join DVAC as we host an Ipswich community event to raise awareness and to bring an end to domestic and family violence.
This is a local, inclusive, family-friendly community event to raise awareness to remember those who have been affected by domestic and family violence. There will be a peaceful march, guest speakers, free Lion’s Club sausage sizzle, and candle lighting vigil.
Paint posters from 4:30pm, or bring along your own posters and banners for our Walk Against Violence. Peaceful march and chanting will begin at 5:30pm. Candle lighting vigil and speeches from 6pm.

- Pamela van de Hoef, President, Zonta Club of Ipswich
- Maree King, advocate and survivor
- Amie Carrington, CEO, DVAC

Venue: meet at d'Arcy Doyle Place, Brisbane St, Ipswich. March to Tulmur Place, Nicholas Street Precinct for 6pm ceremony and speeches.
